July 10th -Daniels Farmstead Farmers Market

Sunday is looking to be another beautiful and sunny day! Be sure to visit us at the Daniels Farmstead for the Sunday Farmers Market 11:00am to 2:00pm.


Enjoy live music from noon to 2pm with Allison Clemons.


This Sunday's Market Vendors include:


Oakdale Farms featuring a large assortment of fresh garden vegetables, including delicious tender fresh corn!


The Fudge Lady with a large assortment of tasty fudges.


Don't Bee Shy Honey & More featuring an assortment of honey products, including flavored honey, honey skin products and more!


Boudrot Brine - Delicious artisanal pickles made locally in Upton, MA.


Mandie C's Sweetery - a fantastic assortment of delicious cookies, all handmade with the finest ingredients.


BV Cats - Cat placements as well as homemade cat blankets, scarves, toys & jewelry.


Bulb & Blossom featuring an assortment of potted perennials.


Wildheart Crochet with a selection of handmade items


Wagontails - homemade dog biscuits and accessories.


Fresh from the Daniels Farmstead organic garden is tasty kale, an assortment of herbs including English thyme, oregano, basil, mint, lemon balm, rosemary, parsley, and our own raw honey!


Need a recipe? Our kale is perfect for a flavorful Fresh Kale Salad!


Here's what you'll need:

  • 8 cups kale leaves - thinly sliced

  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries - coarsely chopped

  • 1/2 cup walnuts - coarsely chopped

  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta

For the dressing:

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon shallots - minced

  • 6 tablespoon Olive Oil

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Whisk together vinegar, shallots, & a pinch of salt. Let stand 15 minutes. Slowly whisk in olive oil and salt and pepper. Pour over kale salad and toss, sprinkle with fresh lemon juice & toss. May be refrigerated for up to three days.


Doris's Kitchen will be open 11:30 to 2:00, serving up grilled franks, Angus beef burgers, veggie burgers, Italian Sausage with peppers & onion, chips, plus an absolutely delicious assortment of fresh baked goods.


House tours available this Sunday; donations are appreciated.


Parking is located across the street from the Daniels Farmstead.


Daniels Farmstead Foundation’s continuance relies heavily on our amazing volunteers, members, and donors. We always have room for more volunteers and are currently looking to add to our close-knit family. Whether it be working in the garden, selling our beautiful produce, or working in Doris’s Kitchen you can help contribute to the preservation of one of the Blackstone Valley’s historic gems.
